3rd international project meeting held in Lisbon

The 3rd International Project Meeting of the Blueskilling Innovation Project took place recently in Lisbon, hosted by the Instituto Superior Técnico. Over the course of two productive working days, project partners made significant progress across key work packages:

  • WP1 (Analysis of the Skills Gaps), led by BPN, presented its final results, highlighting critical insights for addressing workforce challenges in the maritime sector.
  • WP2 (Analysis of the Training Supply), managed by Munster Technological University, revealed its preliminary findings, laying the groundwork for aligning training programs with industry needs.
  • WP3 (Matching Supply and Demand of Training) methodology was introduced by Instituto Superior Técnico, providing an innovative approach to bridging skills gaps and meeting industry demand.
  • WP4 (Curricula Design) updates were shared by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), underscoring plans for the development of specialized training modules.

The meeting also featured a visit to the Innovation and Experimentation Center (inovAA) at Arsenal do Alfeite, S.A. Academy, where attendees gained valuable insights into cutting-edge practices and technologies driving maritime innovation.
