The Basque Maritime Cluster held its Annual General Assembly, bringing together over 120 representatives from industry and institutions across the Basque Country.
The event served as a key forum to assess the current state of the maritime sector and explore its strategic direction for the future.
A highlight of the Assembly was the presentation of the Interreg Atlantic Area “Blueskilling Innovation Project”, a flagship initiative coordinated by the Basque Maritime Cluster. The project is designed to equip shipbuilding and maritime technology companies with the skills required to successfully navigate the green and digital transitions.
This dissemination event marked a significant milestone in the project’s development, showcasing its progress and reaffirming its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence in maritime education.
In addition to the Basque Maritime Cluster, the event featured active participation from the project’s other Basque Country partners: the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), CIFP Blas de Lezo, and CIFP Santurtzi. These institutions play a vital role in shaping and delivering the project’s training and innovation strategies.
At the European level, the Basque Maritime Cluster continues to contribute to the development of the European Maritime Industrial Strategy, engaging in forums and workshops aimed at strengthening the competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience of Europe’s maritime industries.
We are proud to be part of this transformative journey—locally, regionally, and across Europe.
