On June 6, 2025, the Basque partners of the Blueskilling Innovation Project gathered at CIFP Blas de Lezo in Pasaia, Gipuzkoa, for a full day working session focused on Work Package 3: Matching Supply and Demand. Representatives from the Basque Maritime Cluster, UPV/EHU, CIFP Blas de Lezo, and CIFP Santurtzi collaborated to align training provision with the evolving needs of the maritime sector.
As part of the day’s activities, participants also visited Albaola, The Sea Factory of the Basques, a unique cultural and educational center where traditional Basque shipbuilding techniques are preserved and showcased. This visit highlighted the region’s rich maritime heritage and its relevance to modern training and innovation in the sector.
