The Blueskilling Innovation project was presented in Portugal during MARTECH Conference 2026, an international event focused on maritime technology and innovation. CENTEC Técnico took part in the organisation of the conference, which brought together leading voices from the maritime sector, academia and research.
Throughout the three-day event, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about Blueskilling Innovation through a dedicated dissemination desk, project leaflets and a roll-up presenting the project’s mission, activities and expected outcomes.
The project was also represented during the conference programme. As part of the first technical session, a paper developed from a master’s dissertation within the scope of Blueskilling Innovation was presented in Session 2.1, dedicated to shipbuilding and repair.
The paper, entitled “Laser Scanning in Shipbuilding: Applications for Digitalisation and Quality Control”, was presented on 27 May 2026 by F.C. Peres, J.M. Cruz and A.P. Teixeira. The contribution explored how laser scanning technologies can support digitalisation processes and quality control in the shipbuilding sector.
Participation in MARTECH 2026 also provided an opportunity to establish new contacts and exchange insights with professionals and researchers from across the maritime industry. The conversations and connections developed during the conference open up new networking possibilities that may be explored in the future within the framework of the Blueskilling Innovation project.
